They listen to him because he has the chorus 'I make it rain' like it is a tape recorder on repeat.

Well most people just listen to rap because of the beat, they don't listen to the lyrics.

i swear i must be going insane. lil wayne? a great rapper? what the fuck are people listening to!? dude is one of the worst rappers i have ever heard. his lyrics are barely average and his voice makes me want to jam screw drivers into my ear canals. the only way he could be the greatest of all time is if every other rapper besides him died.

I personally dont really like his voice or raps. but he has some good rhymez and beats
